Cant fault the doctors but struggling to find a decent word to say about the receptionists. Rarely do their one job of picking up the phone and when they do they are just rude
Can't get through on phone so can't get appointment, even for non emergency issues. Asked for online appointments information, told that I have to supply ID.Strange this as I have never had to provide any for my normal appointment.Further to my last feedback-:Since when were receptionists medically qualified to quiz patients on their medical problems? What I take from this is that the staff and service is excellent but the centre is severely constrained by finances.
If it wasn't for the unhelpful, rude, horrible lady on reception (Kay) it would still not be the best surgery to attend.(Must add the following is due to Doctors reception and Not the pharmacy)Don't get me wrong, Doctors are very good but you have to get an appointment first! That means an automated service that works when it wants to and receptionists who really should not be employed in this role! Really! Kay especially so watch out for her!Been a patient for 10 years and do visit often due to a illness and trust me, it doesn't get better! Especialy with the receptionist mentioned above. Of course had other surgery's in my life and they all have been so so much better to attend and experience and of course get an appointment with whom and when wanted. Blackwater really do need to have a receptionist staff change. Training won't help as they won't be able to cope with the pressure plus I don't think their brain would cope with politeness needed.. (dragged up not brought up..) More houses are being built nearby so it will only get worse.. If only the manager at Blackwater could reply to all the negative feedback due to his/her receptionist on here.. Seems a common thing!
Not one to complain but if I could give a minus star I would. One particular staff member you so have to watch out for is Kay. K A Y.. Kay. What an obnoxious, rude, dirty low life of a woman. She works on reception. How she got that job is beyond me. She deserves to not have any job at all but to stay at home and perhaps learn manners, etiquette and how to talk to people without someone wanting to string her up and talk and treat her like she does others. People/patients attend doctors due them being not well. The last thing anyone needs is this woman greating them. You will know what I mean once you do!She is the first person you see when you arrive so I would suggest you do find someone else to see. Signs are up saying no tolerance to abuse to staff.. Rubbish... It should read that patients shouldn't tolerate Kay.. Really she is that bad and lesley beale (practice manager) should take note of this review and act upon it.I would suggest anyone who experiences Kay is to write to NHS advocate and write a letter to lesley at Blackwater to express your disgust at this woman..Oh.. And if you do speak to Kay remember... Talk to someone else to Confirm everything she replies with.. Guaranteed it will be incorrect. Booking appointments is also terrible so you have been warned. Go elsewhere!!
Never had a bad visit. Can take a while to get an appointment but that seems to be how it is at surgeries nowadays. Just keep patient and when you get through speak calmly and politely. It works! Been registered, with my family, at the place for over 30 years.
