Nice walks
Good for walking
Great place for walking the dog and meeting other dog lovers. A large open area makes you feel safe. Other pathways and the lake is stunning
Very good
We live minutes away and walk from our home to here often and have done in all weather conditions over the seasons. A great place to explore with a wonderful lake that sometimes can be so tranquil and on other occasions bustling with many types of duck, seagull and with swans. Also a canal passing by. We have been walking this park for years. Each season is very different year on year. Many come here to walk their dogs, as well as families with children of all ages playing and even learning to ride their bikes. A place to play with a grass and wild bush fields surrounded with many species of trees. A canal is part of its feature and gives the explorer great opportunities to go off track. The old rail track is great to walk, and see the Langford and Ulting platform that has been recently rebuilt. There are placards and signs that tell the historic story of the original rail track. The park is a hidden (and almost unknown), dare I say, area of outstanding natural beauty. The local council (MDC) have spent a lot of time, effort and money maintaining this park and have a done a magnificent and outstanding job. They have established natural nesting areas around the lake for many species of water dwelling birds and animals, allowed the wild plant life to establish and most of all kept the park as a place of pure nature and that with human interaction is balanced here to perfection; the closer you look, the more you see, the more you feel and appreciate it. Otherwise a great place to walk and generally visit. look it up on a map to see how further you can explore. Most years swans produce young that become aware of people and often will come to you if you have food - be cautious. If walking dogs respect that you and your pet are not the only animal using the lake and park. I recommend this place for all to enjoy.
